Iterative Data-Driven ℋ∞ Norm Estimation of Multivariable Systems With Application to Robust Active Vibration Isolation
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper aims to develop a new data-driven H∞ norm estimation algorithm for model-error modeling of multivariable systems. An iterative approach is presented that requires significantly fewer prior assumptions on the true system, hence it provides stronger guarantees in a robust control design. The iterative estimation algorithm is embedded in a robust control design framework with a judiciously selected uncertainty structure to facilitate high control performance. The approach is experimentally implemented on an industrial active vibration isolation system (AVIS).

Robust Active Vibration Isolation: A Multivariable Data-Driven Approach
Active vibration isolation is essential for a large range of high precision motion systems in industry. This paper aims to develop a framework for high performance robust vibration isolation by explicitly addressing multivariable flexible dynamical behavior. A framework is proposed that connects identification and control. In addition, a new data-driven uncertainty modeling procedure is used th...
متن کاملIteratively Learning the H-Infinity-Norm of Multivariable Systems Applied to Model-Error-Modeling of a Vibration Isolation System
The aim of this paper is to develop a new datadriven approach for learning the H ∞ -norm of multivariable systems that can be used for model-error-modeling in robust feedback control. The proposed algorithm only requires iterative experiments on the system. Especially for the multivariable situation that is considered in this paper, these experiments have to be judiciously chosen. The proposed ...
متن کاملMultivariable Data-Driven Uncertainty Modeling for Robust Active Vibration Isolation
Robustness is of vital importance for any feedback controlled system. An important example of such a feedback controlled system is an active vibration isolation system (AVIS), which is used to isolate highly accurate systems from external disturbances in multiple degrees-of-freedom. The underlying idea of vibration isolation is based on the concept of skyhook damping, see [1]. Model-based robus...
متن کاملPrimal and dual robust counterparts of uncertain linear programs: an application to portfolio selection
This paper proposes a family of robust counterpart for uncertain linear programs (LP) which is obtained for a general definition of the uncertainty region. The relationship between uncertainty sets using norm bod-ies and their corresponding robust counterparts defined by dual norms is presented. Those properties lead us to characterize primal and dual robust counterparts. The researchers show t...
متن کاملA New Approach for QFT-type Robust Controller Design in Uncertain Multivariable Systems
This paper presents a robust controller design methodology for a class of linear uncertain multivariable systems with hard time-domain constraints on their outputs and control signals in response to step disturbance inputs. In this approach, the m×m MIMO system is replaced by m2 SISO systems and then, using the QFT technique, desirable controllers are synthesized. The final controller will be d...
